Congolese music legend Awilo Longomba paid a visit to the Special Forces Command Headquarters in Entebbe, Uganda, on Monday afternoon.
The musician was warmly welcomed by the Chief of Defence Forces, Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba.
The meeting, which was also attended by Minister of State for Youth and Children Affairs, Balaam Barugahara, and NRM Secretary General, Richard Todwong, came ahead of Longomba’s highly anticipated concert, “Afro-exclusive,” in Kampala.
The event, which is scheduled for Saturday, September 7, 2024, at the Sheraton Kampala Hotel, will also feature Nigerian singer and songwriter Chike.
Known for his energetic performances and infectious rhythms, Awilo Longomba has captivated audiences worldwide with hits like “Karolina,” “Bundelele,” “Mobimba Ya Mama,” “Porokondo,” and “Champion.”
Chike, on the other hand, has gained popularity with tracks such as “Running,” “If You No Love,” “Insecure,” and “Roju.”
