Museveni Holds Two-Hour Private Meeting with Eddie Mutwe

Impeccable sources have confirmed to us that President Yoweri Museveni recently held a closed-door meeting with Edward “Eddie Mutwe” Ssebuufu, the longtime head of security for opposition leader Robert Kyagulanyi, also known as Bobi Wine.

According to the sources, the meeting took place earlier last week and lasted about two hours.

The venue and exact date remain undisclosed, and no photographs or official statements have been released.

Details of what was discussed have not been made public, but the sources insist the conversation did take place.

The development comes as Uganda moves toward the 2026 general elections, where President Museveni is expected to face Bobi Wine in a rematch of their contentious 2021 contest.

Mutwe is one of Bobi Wine’s closest associates and a key figure in the National Unity Platform (NUP).

He has faced multiple arrests and high-profile court cases, including allegations of torture during previous detentions.

His reported meeting with Museveni stands out given years of public hostility between the government and Bobi Wine’s camp.
